“The reason I voted against the payroll tax holiday is that in order to extend the payroll tax holiday for one year, it will cost over $100 billion.
“Extending the payroll tax holiday means taking $100 billion out of the Treasury. There is only one place to get that money and that’s to borrow it from China, Japan, Saudi Arabia and the people of the United States. I think that’s wrong so I voted against the bill.”
