WHS T&F Coach Ryan Clark


The Warrior Girls & Boys Indoor Track & Field team did very well at the Simplot Games in Pocatello at Holt Arena on the Idaho State Unversity campus last weekend. Worland sent 7 athletes to the 3 day meet in Southeastern Idaho. Lady Warriors Jessie Eaves and Sadie Wassum qualified for the final day of competition on Saturday in the 60 Meter Hurdles and 800, while the 5 other Warrior athletes came so close to earning a spot in the Finals. Jessie Eaves took 16th in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.24 and Sadie Wassum finished 25th in the 800 running 2:31.56. WHS B BBall Coach Mark Hamilton


The Warrior Basketball team will get back to the court this week as they host Powell this Thursday night at 7:15pm and will be at Cody this Friday evening at 7:30pm to finish up the regular season. All games can be heard on AM 1340 KWOR and online at www.mybighornbasin.com. WHS Coach Mark Hamilton feels very good about how his team will play in both games leading up to the 3A East Regionals which start on Thursday March 1st in Newcastle. WHS G BBall Coach Mark Mortimer


The Lady Warrior Basketball team gets back to the floor this week as they go up against Powell at home on Senior night this Thursday evening at 5:30pm and will play at Cody this Friday night at 5:45pm to conclude the regular season. All games can be heard on AM 1340 KWOR and online at www.mybighornbasin.com. WHS Coach Mark Mortimer feels very confident about how his team will perform in both games leading up to the 3A East Regionals which start on Thursday March 1st in Newcastle. Worland will go into the Regional Tournament next week as the #6 seed and will play either Torrington, Rawlins or Wheatland in the Opening Round. WHS Boys Swim Coach Guy Fulfer


The Warrior Boys Swim team is preparing for the 3A State meet in Gillette this Thursday and Friday. Worland took 2nd place as a team in the 3A East Conference meet at Newcastle over a week ago. WHS Wrestling Coach Dean Barent


The Warrior Wrestling team posted some very strong performances in the 3A East Regional Tournament in Rawlins last Friday and Saturday. Douglas won the 3A East title with a team score of 268, Worland placed 2nd with 188 points, Torrington was 3rd with 138 points, Newcastle grabbed 4th with 103 points, Wheatland was a close 5th with 102 points, Rawlins came in 6th with 100 points, Glenrock took 7th accumulating 82 points and Buffalo finished 8th with a team score of 61. WHS had 10 wrestlers place at Rawlins last weekend and will have 20 wrestlers compete at the 3A State Wrestling Tournament in Casper this Friday and Saturday. WHS B BBall Coach Mark Hamilton


The Warrior Boys Basketball team played well at Douglas and good at home against Lovell last weekend, but both schools in the end were too much for WHS as Douglas pulled away over Worland 66 to 38 last Friday night and Lovell defeated the Warriors 76 to 45 last Saturday. Kris Mull averaged 14 points during the 2 game stretch and Justin Rohrer averaged nearly 10. WHS is not playing any games this weekend as they prepare to host Powell next Thursday night February 23rd at 7:15pm and will finish the regular season at Cody on Friday night February 24th at 7:30pm.
