A Big Horn County man was sentenced in federal court for bank fraud.

66 year old Marvin Iverson of Burlington was arrested in October of 2012. In March of the following year, Iverson was charged for writing bad checks to settle large debts.

Iverson is the owner of Marv's Meat Processing in Burlington.

Evidence used against Iverson in court was collected as part of an investigation by the FBI, Big Horn County Sheriff, and the Cody Police Department.

A three day jury trial led to a guilty charge wherein Iverson was believed to have defrauded Big Horn County Savings Bank by writing checks from a closed account.

Iverson will be sentenced in court by Federal District Judge Alan Johnson in October.
