State Spring High School Sports

Less than a week after the winter prep athletics here in Wyoming halted for this year, spring high school sports around the state began concerning 2017.  Locally, Cody Bronc and Filly varsity soccer of Wyoming’s particular 3A Classification Northwest Quadrant kicked off their such campaigns the most recent weekend by winning a pair of games each away versus kids from that specific Southwest.  (CHS boys along with girls outdoor track and field had got their practices going March 6th but won’t actually compete until this coming Saturday; meanwhile, Bronc/Filly tennis as well as golf aren’t initially working out for their unofficial dockets at this time of year ’til next Monday – with the former playing their opening matches of the spring on April 1st, and the latter teeing it off the 7th of that month.)

Those respective Cody boys footballers blanked their two foes.  Those Broncs originally kept Afton’s Star Valley HS Braves scoreless with a 1-0 triumph back on Friday evening as well as capping by shutting out the Pinedale Wranglers 5-0 late that following Saturday afternoon.  (No individual goal information was available, though.)

Regarding those CHS girls: they’d even wrapped up their weekend by preventing the same opponents from finding the net earlier those exact days.  Those Fillies had blanked the Lady Braves 2-0 Friday afternoon as well as those Lady Wranglers 3-0 sooner the past Saturday.  (According to the Cody Enterprise newspaper, it was Hannah Bailey who recorded the winning tallies both times.)
