Quake Begin Drills

          When it comes to area hockey: the Yellowstone Quake Tier III Junior club of Cody dropped the puck as far as practice on its 2016-17 ledger by August 29 under second-year head coach Ryan Theros.
          “Wyoming's Team” capped off the last '15-16 schedule with a record of 37 wins, 14 regulation losses, aside from four overtime defeats total.  Yellowstone had captured the seven-crew Frontier Division for the North American Tier III Hockey League by notching 73 points among that regularly-slated campaign, wrapped up the divisional playoffs at No. 2, though qualifying across the NA3HL Silver Cup championship tournament held concerning Romeoville, IL (a southwest suburb around Chicago) as the second of that many wild cards nationwide but not making it out from one of a couple four-squad pools after falling during three such games.  Theros brings back 14 kids regarding the past bunch, tabbing 28 members altogether (a full 25 over the protected gang) – featuring a duo of homestate players, including returner Carter Johnson from Meeteetse.
The Quake oppose the Billings Bulls in Montana prior to here on this Friday plus Saturday by a pair of exhibition tilts, respectively, before opening the regular season at home with a duet versus that other state's Missoula Junior Bruins about September 23-24.
